These feet have walked through the puddles on an african street
They've stood on the sands on the other side of the sea
i've wondered at the wonder in the eyes of a little child
And i have smiled at the smiles in the villages that keep passing by

i've tried ... losing my life
To more than i can imagine, but it all waves goodbye
Where will i find life

We walked and we talked in the cold of a northern night
We watched the storm and the stars as they played with the light
Oh, the sky shone again when the sun set on beaches white
But she was miles from me when we talked on the 4^th of July

i find my life deep inside
Where You lived and You died ... now we're walking side by side
